"If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking " James 1:5

There is NO competition or condemnation between receiving your physical healing through the spiritual principles of God or a Medical Doctor.

But don't depend on medical doctors to keep you healthy, depend on God.

When taking your medication, mix faith with it by saying, "I believe I receive my healing in Jesus Name".
Mark 11:24, Hebrews 4:2

Pray that God gives knowledge, wisdom, and understanding about your diagnosis and treatment to the medical professionals caring for you.
Colossians 1:9

All Healing Comes from God

In the book of James we read, "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights" [James 1:17]. Whatever is good and perfect comes from God.

God considers healing as doing good. The scripture says Jesus, "went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him [Acts 10:38]. Jesus even made some comments about being a physician [Matthew 9:12, Luke 4:23, Mark 2:17, and Luke 5:31].

God works through physicians using natural principles to assist the human body in recovering itself [See Wikipedia]. There is no competition between receiving your physical healing through the spiritual principles of God or a Medical Doctor. There is also no condemnation in seeking medical care from a physician [Romans 8:1]. If you need to see a medical doctor, see a medical doctor. Seek God's guidance in choosing the right physician for your symptoms.

In the Old Testament the Bible tells about King Asa who, "became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians" [2 Chronicles 16:11-13]. There is nothing wrong in seeking medical care. But it is wrong when a believer seeks only physicians and not God for their healing.

Don't depend on medical doctors to keep you healthy, depend on God [Psalms 91:2, Psalms 91:15]. Pray that God gives knowledge, wisdom, and understanding about your diagnosis and treatment to the medical professionals caring for you [Colossians 1:9]. Pray that your medications and treatments will be a benefit to you. Pray that all your medications and interventions will not harm you or cause an adverse reaction in your body.

When you take your medication, mix faith with it by saying, "I believe I receive my healing in Jesus Name" [Hebrews 4:2, Mark 11:24]. Most medicines will control the symptoms while you are applying God's spiritual principles concerning health and healing. Continue to following your physician's orders until you receive the manifestation of your physical healing.

Operate at your level of faith or your confidence level in the Word of God. But don't stay on that level forever. Continue in God's Word until you develop faith [confidence] in God's healing power.

A Prayer if You are in Search of a Physician

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name

Lord, your Word says if any person lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him [James 1:5]. Please give me wisdom in choosing the right physician. Father, I do not lean to my own understanding in this decision but I allow you to direct my steps [Proverbs 3:5-7, Psalms 37:23].

Heavenly Father, please give the physician you are directing me to see knowledge, wisdom, and understanding about my diagnosis and treatment [Colossians 1:9]. Grant me both favor and wisdom with all the persons that will be involved with my medical treatment [Proverbs 3:4, Luke 2:51, Acts 7:10]. LORD God, bless the medical staff that will be caring for me [Numbers 6:24, Psalms 129:8].

I ask that the medications and treatments will do what they are intended to do and be a benefit to my body. I Pray that all my medications and medical interventions will not harm my body or cause an adverse reaction in my body. Lord deliver me from any destructions [Psalms 103:4].

Father, equip and empower the medical staff with the ability to assist my body to recover. LORD God, I Thank-you that all healing comes from You [Psalms 103:2-3]. Thank-you for healing my body in Jesus Name [John 16:23, Psalms 30:2].

Prayer When Taking Medication or Chemotherapy

Most medicines will control the symptoms while you are applying God's spiritual principles concerning health and healing. Continue to following your physician's orders until you receive the manifestation of your physical healing. Operate at your level of faith or your confidence level in the Word of God. But don't stay on that level forever. Continue in God's Word until you develop faith [confidence] in God's healing power.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive [Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24].

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name

I am taking [name medication or chemotherapy]. I am mixing my faith, confidence in the healing power of Jesus Christ with this medication [Mark 11:24, Hebrews 4:2]. Your Word states, if I drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt me [Mark 16:18]. You redeem my life from destruction and death [Psalms 103:4]. You are my healer and deliver [Isaiah 53:5]. I depend on You to keep me healthy [Psalms 107:20, Psalms 30:2].

[Name medication or chemotherapy], you will not harm me, you are a benefit to me [Mark 11:23]. You are a benefit to me, because Jesus says to me, "nothing shall by any means hurt you" [Luke 10:19]. [Name medication or chemotherapy], you will do what you were designed to do and nothing more [Matthew 21:21]. You will be effective, in Jesus Name [John 14:13-14]. You will not produced any side effects in my body [Matthew 17:20]. You will not produce, [name potential side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, anorexia, dizziness, headaches, muscle cramps, joint or muscle pain, skin rash, heart failure, heart arrhythmia, liver problems, abnormal bleeding, anemia, low blood counts, skin blistering, fluid retention, or edema]. You will not interact with any other medications or foods [Luke 17:6]. The truth of God's Word supersedes any facts. Sickness is not mine, disease is not mine, healing is mine [1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:16-17].
